We all needed a vacation! Part 1

We are just back from Spring Break & we realized after driving for days that our kids are very good travelers in the car. They always were good by air plane but now it was so successful we can take more car trips. Thank goodness because air fare is going up!

They have a few new favorites for the car & they didn't even need any of the movies I got from the library. Shaelyn read a big book about a Chimpanzee named Ivan & Brayden read all about airplanes & wanted to show me every one of them. This lasted for a while until my neck couldn't take it anymore. The book Rumplestilskin was my favorite when I was little so they listen to it on CD & followed along. They also liked a book on CD that's part of the Series"According to Humphrey" about a Hampster at School, which was a Chapter Book. They actually listened to it on the way there & on the way back. It was cute! So the driving part of the trip flew by.

We first went to see my sister in Ooltewah, TN since she's moving overseas in 2 weeks. With her we overlooked the Marina while we ate lunch, colored Easter Eggs, had an Easter Egg Hunt, went to the Mall, & saw the Chattanooga Aquarium all within less than 24 hours. It was so much fun! Our kids enjoyed being with her 2 children & there were tears when we had to part. Too bad my siblings live so far away! Here's some pics of our adventures with Suzanne, John, Alexandra, & Joel.
