Shaelyn just got back from a Girl Scout Sleepover at the Peoria Zoo (formerly called Glen Oak Zoo) & she was telling us all the new animal fun facts she learned. She's very knowledgeable on animals anyway but this one had us all intrigued. A alligator is as old as the # of feet it is. So the trained tame alligator she pet at the Zoo last night was 4 feet long & therefore 4 years old. Then we hear a crash from upstairs & we hear Brayden say, "Bummer! I still can't fly!" Yes just a typical Saturday; especially since Greg & I are cleaning out another closet.
Tomorrow is supposed to be nicer weather so we are excited to work on our landscaping & other outdoor projects soon. The kids have become quite the helpers lately. I love this age: 10 & 7!
