Brayden & his guitar

We finally found a good guitar teacher & Brayden is very happy!  The other two in Peoria were interesting. The first one kept the little room dark (& it smelled) & had bloodshot eyes that scared Brayden not to mention the fact that he wanted us to talk quietly. We had already overlooked the pony tail to the waist.  So we switched to a highly recommended guy in a church in Peoria but he liked Brayden's jokes so much that every week he spent like 10 minutes hearing all his original jokes. And most of the time he prompted it not the other way around. So I'm happy to say that we found one in Mukwanago (just south of Muskego) that has structure & is organized & even Grandpa Gerry approved. Brayden practiced his heart out & memorized his first song. (Thank you to my parents for their help working with him while he was with them!). And the teacher was completely impressed since he's only 8.

Here he is displaying a pin they received at the Veterans Memorial in Sheboygan and a handmade sweater made by Pearl Schueffner (my grandma) that my siblings  and I wore when we were younger. We always were excited to receive a sweater on our birthdays so it makes my heart melt to see my kids so happy to wear these soft sweaters just like us. (And they aren't sweater fans but these cozy ones will be perfect for our Wisconsin winter.)

Shaelyn's sweaters are pink & red & gorgeous on her too but apparently I haven't taken her picture in it yet.
