We have really great friends & family that care about us & our wellbeing. So now that we have been in our house exactly a month we are getting a lot of the same questions asked with concern. Since they all read my blog I decided I'm just going to answer all the questions here that they has been asking.
1) Are we moved in yet?
We are beginning to feel settled as far as the kids & schools & activities go but we arent quite moved in yet. Our basement isn't finished so I don't want to unpack much down there but I need to find a few things so that is becoming a challenge. We also need to find lamps because of course we donated them in the last house when they weren't needed. Now they are needed again with no overhead light in the great room. We don't have a lot of time to look right now & we don't want to buy just anything so we still don't have lights in that room yet. Thankfully there is a light over the fireplace for now. We have been here almost a month. The first 2 weeks we had a ton of mojo & got a lot done. Since then life has taken over & we are busy with kids schoolwork & activities. 2) Do you have any friends?
I'm not really worried about making friends anymore since I met some nice people in the neighborhood & found out its a pretty social group so I'm happy. After I get moved in I can work on making friends. (They do an Easter egg hunt & go all out at Halloween so we've heard.) We like where we live so far. We also found out Muskego School District is one of the only ones in the area to bring in Missoula Children's Theatre for one week in August that Shaelyn is excited to be part of (if she makes the cast). Muskego ended up being a perfect fit for us because its like part country & part city so we have the best of both worlds.
3) How was the move?
Thankfully the movers made it a smooth transition for us so we are grateful for that! Very little was damaged in the move & that made it so much easier on all of us.
4). Do the kids like their new schools?
The kids like their schools very much & they have great teachers with lots of experience so we are blessed. They are even starting to make friends. The one benefit of joining at the end of the year is they have both gone on 2 or 3 very cool field trips already. Museums, Plays, Pizza & Amusement Rides, & Shows too. They are both already involved in Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts which are both very active here.
5) Have you joined a gym yet?
We just joined a gym last week & we both love it. It's cheaper than what we paid in Peoria & has 10 times what they had there. Its called the Princeton Club, & its one exit up on the interstate. They have Zumba, tennis (indoor & outdoor), & racquetball for me and Elliptical, track, treadmills for Greg since that's what he likes. They have a lap pool for the kids, lazy river, water slide, & water play area. So we are all happy. And my Zumba is 6 days a week. Not that I'll go all that but I can. And it's twice a day too. So I better get to bed so I can go in the morning.
