Purdy never wants to walk on the hardwood floor and especially doesn't want to eat or drink with her paws touching the hardwood floor. So she has figured out a way to stand on one side of the island on that rug & hang her head around the side to her food & water bowl.   

This way no paw has to be on hardwood floor when she's eating or drinking.
