Admirals vs. Wolves Hockey Game

We started out the evening driving to downtown Milwaukee Sat night & walked over  to Maders, a German Restaurant passing a few buildings on the way.

It had a medieval theme so Brayden drew a picture to add to the ambiance.

After that we headed to the Hockey Game. We had seats right behind the goal thank you to Scott Allen, Traci's husband & Assistant coach for the Wolves.   (Good thing there was a net all the way up to the ceiling practically because if not I get too nervous to sit in the stands in case a pick flies up & hits our kids.)  We had a blast at the Hockey Game!

Shaelyn said Brayden looks like a Hockey Player because he is toothless up front.

The minute I walked down to thank Scott for the seats he walked in the Locker Room & never saw me. So I snapped a few player pics while I was there. (I didn't dare go by there afterwards since they lost 4-1.)

Brayden was intrigued by the indoor blimp!  And was sad due to the net cables it couldn't come over by us.

They have a lot of games to entertain the crowd.  I said its like intermission without cheerleaders.

They had 3  guys on each team trying to make it to the goal. Being that they were in shoes they all kept falling down on top of each other so it was hilarious to watch.

The crowd got into this human bowling game too.  3 contestants went on a sled one at a time while 3 guys pull a sling shot trying to get the person by the goal where they tried to knock over foam squares. The girl won & the announcer gets the crowd really into it.

Of course another favorite was the Admirals Ship.

The mascot competed against fans to see who could get the most goals.

The mascot was silly to watch & it made the hockey game go by so fast.

They've made it entertaining for everyone. No wonder why there were so many kids there.

They did something very cool. On the first   goal that Admirals scored everyone threw out teddy bears onto the ice. They were brand new teddy bears Admirals were taking to the Children's Hospital.  They collected 15 huge bags & it stopped play for a while but the players were helping to guide the teddy bears into piles with their sticks. It was great community support!  Sorry my picture ended up too dark to see it but you can imagine it was a tear jerker!  And before we knew it we had to head home to put the kids to bed (way past their bedtime) but they enjoyed the experience.
