Yikes! It's getting colder outside.

It's turning to Fall very quickly outside. I personally love looking at the changing leaves out a window from inside ones home or from a car because I hate to be cold & I don't like wind. So Fall & I have a love hate relationship.  Greg always jokes that I'm part lizard because I need to lay on a rock & have the sun shine on me to stay warm. It's so true & that is why I love Summer.  But we had a very long enjoyable Summer so I can't complain that it is just now turning cooler on Oct. 17th.  The other reason I'm bummed about it getting cooler is my garden. I'm still getting tons of cucumbers, kale, 4 different kinds of tomatoes, beans, melons, carrots, & eggplant.  (I'm sure there is something I missed but you get the point.) Really the only thing that is completely done is the Sugar Snap Peas. (Which next year I will make 3 plants of because the kids & I loved them!) And it is funny that Brayden's worried about what he's going to do after school with no gardening. He may have a harder time with it turning cold then I do. (Then again he hates being cold too.) Seriously evey day after school he hangs his backpack then heads to the garden. I think it's a stress reliever for the day for him. It gives Shaelyn & I time to talk about her day. Then he swings on the playset after setting it all on the patio table.  Then he comes in with all kinds of food & he's happy. And she's happy because they didn't compete for my attention. So glad that I've been able to stay home all these years to give them attention after school. I've always said I get paid in hugs & I love it!  I've told them I need more hugs as it gets colder because it keeps me warmer!  Hope they always believe this! ; )
