Day 1& 2 of Fun for Spring Break

On the 1st day of Spring Break we went to Mayfair Mall to see Stride Rite so I could get the kids designated school gym shoes that hadn't been worn outside. We ate at the Chinese Place in the food court & it was delicious!  The kids ate it all up & loved the mall. Shaelyn said she will always be my shopping buddy from now on since we live in Milwaukee & the malls are a lot nicer.
I took an early Easter Picture of my kids since they had it all set up for the Bunny.
(But he doesn't start until after 3pm on Monday apparently so we never saw him.)

On the 2nd day of Spring Break the kids helped me go through some of their things while having fun. For example I asked them to sort their mittens & hats bin by favorites or least favorites since they always wear the same hats & gloves. This way their favorites are in the bottom of their cubbies & easy to get to while the extras are up top & out of the way. So when they had their job done they asked if they could jump rope with their scarves. Brilliant!  It was a great way to get them exercise since it was 22 degrees out & snowing ice. I was skeptical if it would work but they were both great at it!  And you don't get the hard whack when it hits you in the head or the leg like a plastic jump rope.
Here's some pics of them in motion. Before, during, & after they jumped the rope; I mean scarf. ; )
I'm honestly surprised that my phone actually captured these action shots. (I have a nice camera but it never seems to be on me to capture the moment like my IPhone does.) And now that my kids are reading our blog as a family & loving it they are more willing to let me take pics too.   Here's Brayden jumping.

The disappointment knowing it caught his feet. Priceless!

And then when he got tired.

Shaelyn jumping & her hair flying everywhere.

Still jumping.

Oh no it didn't get over her head.

And the face of disappointment.

But she's going to try it again.

Jumping & playing Snakes in the Great room with the scarves.

Smiles showing they had fun with their first day of Spring Break.
