There were definitely some historic events in this Olympics that will go down in the history books. Some better than others. The very first night was opened by Bob Costas like many other Olympics, but this time he had pink eye & his left eye was red & pussy with infection. All of the USA felt so bad for him.
So NBC scrambled to get Matt Lauer & Meredith Veira to fill in for him.
There were some GREAT highlight too!
But this is my favorite one. She's Noelle & she's a mom of 2 kids. She won the Skeleton Silver Medal with her family by her side. Her husband even built her sled. That's teamwork at its finest!
I love the Olympics & I love to hear stories like this! She wants to join the school PTA & have a garden now & hang out with fun moms! I'm saying come toMilwaukee because I'd love to hang out with you!
Last time she got 4th place but she was by herself. This time they did it as a family!
We also love ice skating in our house too.
Originally we were supposed to be moving during the Olympics so I'm happy that didn't happen.
Now we just have to be patient for another 2 years. The next summer Olympics are taking place in Brazil but as they write Brasil in
Then 2 years after that;
but apparently in my sleep I always tell the kids it's in Taiwan so they think that's hilarious. Of course I know nothing about it the next day. So Who knows! Anyway, I hope U.S. Ice Skating is just as exciting then as it was this year.
