I have been saying to Shaelyn that I'd like to take her horseback riding this summer but we were so busy I didn't want to not complete my promise so I got a sitter for Brayden the day before school started & we went horseback riding. We had one guide & we went through the woods on trails. We both loved it. She did better at trotting than I did. I looked like a rag doll hopping up & down & while she was just perfectly poised gliding up & down. So her latest Girl Scout camp was a success for sure as far as what she's learned. As far as me I need to up my game. She looked so good that when she went back two days later for Veronica's birthday party they gave her an adult horse & told her she could handle it. And she did great! At Girl Scouts they only have them ride in a circle so she really likes the freedom of the trails through the Pekin Park District and so do I.
Note on Veronica's unbelievable birthday present from my sweet 10 year old daughter: Yes Shaelyn picked out Cheetah fabric since that is Veronica's favorite & she knows she's into American Girl Dolls & then she sewed her a doll outfit. Shaelyn is a sweetie & a good gift giver for sure! I would like to give a shout out to my awesome mom for helping Shaelyn sew this adorable outfit. Shaelyn put it on her doll for me to take a good picture saying it looks better that way.
I can't wait until Shaelyn sews me an outfit! She has the color scheme & creativity for sure. Way to go Shaelyn!
