Greg turned 40!

Because I wanted to make Greg happy without much fuss (since he hates birthdays) I surprised him by having a few close friends over on our back patio which we both love.  

(The kids had made the awesome centerpieces for us which look so nice out there.) 

This is a smile from Greg which shows he was having fun & wasn't mad at me for the surprise since he just thought we were having a get together. It was one of my favorites at our house so far. He's also smiling big because he's being funny but he doesn't know that I crop that off.  But at least I got a nice picture out of it so don't tell him.  ; )

Unfortunately we didn't get Deana & Shon Sandifar, or Scott Metzger's picture. And Michael & Joy Boahene were getting a new dog so they were busy.  We polished off wine bottles & various kinds of beer bottles & laughed like we haven't laughed in years. And of course we had dessert but we had key lime pie (Greg's favorite) that night. Everyone loved it!

The next night we just did a little family thing & we gave him a cute cake. 

The kids were so happy giving Daddy their cards. It was a nice family evening. Last year the weather & Mosquitos weren't conducive to using our patio. This year we are on it every night. But the birthday night was even more special.
