$2 bill

I got a big smile today when this $2 bill advertisement came in the mail because it was as if my Grandpa Schueffner was telling me to perk up after a very long hard day.  When I was living & working in Iowa I went up to see Grandpa & Bernice  on quite a few weekends to get away from my apartment & horribly mean boss that thought women didn't belong in the workplace.  Since I worked from home it was hard to truly get away since my only distraction was Sunshine my cat. One of those weekends I told my Grandpa I have always been fascinated with the $2 bill. A couple minutes later he brings me one. If I had been thinking I would have had him sign it. Unfortunately he passed away on Sept. 4, 2000 (our one year Anniversary) so that won't happen. But I have had the $2 bill in my wallet every day since he gave it to me. I look at it often & it always reminds me of great memories!  As you probably know I'm a little sentimental; so when this came in the mail it made me smile!
Here's my $2 bill from Grandpa. (Greg said I should wrap it in plastic because its as important as a Toonie.) I feel its even more important than that to me.

Or this picture is more sentimental yet. Here is a Peace Lily like my company, Pitney Bowes, sent to Grandpa's funeral with the $2.
Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take live plants to Canada on the moving truck so the Church Secretary, Trish, has been enjoying it all these years. Ironically my other friend, Susan Pitts, gave me this one when she moved to TN a couple years ago. See the $2 bill in the plant?
