Although the strong gusty winds, heavy rain, & massive flooding was trying to keep me from seeing my sister nothing could stand in my way. I drove my sailboat (my minivan) with my kids in the back to Chicago one last time to see my sister & her family before they move to England for 4 months & Germany for 4 months for her job. I won't see her now until Christmas so I'm sad. Unfortunaly i think Skype is hard with the time difference but we will try to make it work.
We met at Portillo's in Bolingbrook, IL & had dinner then went to Bass Pro Shop to wear the kids out. We wore ourselves out in the process because I forgot how busy 2 year old boys can be. Anyway the kids had fun with their cousins & I'm glad we made it there & back safely. With all the normal roads I take being closed due to flooding it was actually a scenic tour for us. And she called to say she was boarding right when we got home 3 hours later as I was putting my kids to bed. We are wishing Suzanne, John, Alexandra, & Joel luck on that flight & with their flight to move in 2 days. Have a fun adventure in your new homes & I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back
