A wonderful end to the year. We had such a good time seeing so many family members!
Grandma Rosi flew to my parents in Wisconsin so we didn't have to fly or drive to see her which was very sweet. Not sure if it's harder on them or us living in another country, but anytime we get together it's always cherished and special! It's especially hard on the kids. (Thank goodness for Skype!) But the hugs in person are much better! of course we always love my mom's AWESOME food! This turkey was delicious and made us feel like we saw them for 2 holidays!
I was GREATFUL that my Aunt Pamela & Uncle Paul picked us up at the Madison Airport. (It was nice to see their daughter Elizabeth later in the trip too.)
It was exciting to see my (very pregnant) sister Suzanne, John, & Alexandra who now live in Tennessee.
We had fun giving presents and opening presents.

Brayden gave each present a lot of care & unwrapped carefully.
Rob, Missy, Andrew & Ben flew in from Geneva, Switzerland (where they live now)
so it was exciting to spend time with them too. We played Apples to Apples together (Shaelyn's favorite) and we built an igloo in the snow bank with them. We attempted to make a sunroof that ended up turning into a slide for the kids.

Shaelyn announced she's the queen of the igloo after climbing to the top. Andrew Schueffner climbed to the top & was back down again before I could get any pictures of him.
Shaelyn slid down the outside before the slide was made.

This is a close-up of Brayden out in the snow.
The igloo had a front and back entrance.
Rob, Greg, and my dad made an igloo with a couple of shovels. The kids were out there to help too.

The kids slept very well that night after all the fresh air (and of course a story from grandma.)
As you can see below, Rosi is getting her hand ready for some wine;
which was poured shortly after this photo was taken.
