Trip to Belize & Cozumel

The last time we went on a Royal Caribbean cruise (almost 5 years ago) we went to Alaska.

This time we went to Belize & Cozumel.

It was fun!  We all had a good time.
We were nervous about tendering off the boat in Belize but it wasn't that big of deal. Tendering- (that just means we took a small boat to the pier & then back to our boat after the excursion) see pics below.

Our excursion in Belize was an Airbus ride. It went 45mph & was very fast.  We wore ear protection because we were right in front of the motor.  If you get a chance have my kids show you how we helped turn the boat by waving our hands & bodies in a certain direction. ; )
It was an experience & quite fun while we looked for birds, crocodiles, & other animals.  Unfortunately due to poachers their # of manatees has decreased drastically so we didn't see any. Although it was a bit rainy so our tour guide didn't think they'd be near the surface. The locals thought it was cold at
76 degrees F.

Last time we were on Rhapsody of the Seas.  This time we were on Independence of the Seas.

When we were in Cozumel the next day.  We walked the Mayan Ruins & then went to a Chocolate Factory & tasted Mayan Chocolate.  Mom can tell you all about our Tour Guide (shown below) because she sat by him on the bus.

We then stopped by the beach before heading back to the boat.

It was beautiful!

I also held a huge iguana on the beach that a guy was letting people hold.

It's amazing to see the cruise ships in Port all together & then you realize how massive the boats are.

We had a fun time.
