Boy Scouts learned their names in Sign Language tonight as well as their Scout Law.  They are featured with their leader Mrs. Buxengard and her friend Lucy, who is completely deaf.  She drove to their school to teach them Sign Language and how to be aware of others with disabilities for their Aware & Care Unit.

I taught the section on Blindness & used books from the library to show pictures of Braille, etc. 

I also had them play a game in pairs where one child was blindfolded & the other child had to communicate as to where they needed to walk.
