My son was so smart for the last lunar eclipse he put the iPhone camera behind the binoculars and took pictures with the iPhone through the binoculars. The pictures turned out great and I was so surprised and impressed I could not believe it. I never thought to do that and here the nine-year-old got some great pictures through the binoculars.
We were at my parents the night that he took the pictures so it ended up being a very clear open sky.
He also got a picture of a satellite that was going around probably taking pictures for NASA. But it was very impressive as well and he knew all about the satellites circling from studying them in class.
